Interested in getting a resin bound driveway but you are not sure over what type is available or how it would look? Simply skip to the bottom to see the different examples of resin bound you can choose from to have surface on your driveway.
Resin bound driveways are generally laid on top of a solid surface. You can lay resin bound directly on top of a compacted base surface but we do not recommend it as it can be quite tricky to lay it and secondly, the performance of it over the years can be really patchy. For best performance, we recommend directly on top of concrete or for a permeable finish, directly on top of permeable tarmac.
As for the resin itself, it is a mix of UV resin which is put into a special mixer along with the type of coloured chip you have chosen. The chip sizes are generally mixed between 2 sizes with some crushed glass added as well if you want a more non slip finish.
As you can see, resin chip finishes are really extensive but again, most of Proven Local customers tend to favour just one or two of the colours. The most common colour would be gold and the second most common would be silver or red.
Here are 6 examples of resin bound driveways to help you choose a type of resin finish for your home.
